Coming out of the closet is only one of the things a gay person needs to do in order to live authentically. There is however a real Fight For Freedom after this moment where one must redefine a sense of identity, self-worth and love, which can be a bumpy ride.

During Kickoff Coming Out Day the city of Mechelen uses Sports, Games and Workshops to raise awareness for the LGBT community. The event carries over the message that anyone can be themselves and that love is gender-neutral.

It is a mindset that our club shares, therefore we will proudly be present at Kickoff Coming Out Day 2023. Join us and help us Fight For the Freedom for ourself and others!

What to expect

A free workshop on the beach of Beach Bar Mechelen:

• 30 mins warmup
• 50 minutes techniques (takedowns and submissions)
• Free sparring.

What to bring?

For grappling you only need shorts, a fitting shirt and some drinking water.
